A Polling Firm Deliberately Distributed False Polling Information
A relatively new polling firm called Median Strategies conducted polls on several recent national races with their most notable finding showing DSA-backed Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Francesca Hong with a 23-point lead, which garnered significant national attention. However, Median Strategies has since shut down and declared that their polls should not be considered "genuine polling data." The firm further explained that it "was created as a short-term social experiment examining how purported polling information could enter and spread through the political information ecosystem without independent verification."
In other words, they deliberately distributed false polling information. But why? There is clearly more to this story…
