About this site

Signal and Noise is an independent publication launched in August 2026 by Scott Robertson. Started out as a geologist, ended up running technology and operations for a healthcare company, life has a sense of humor. Canadian by birth, though I've spent a lot longer south of the border than north of it. These days you'll find me hiking somewhere in the Pacific Northwest with my two Australian Shepherds, tinkering with side projects, or working through a stack of books on physics and philosophy.
